Why these five
Every design on our mats is a real piece of Chinese symbolism — a motif with centuries of use behind it, chosen because it says something true about a table of four people who keep showing up for each other.
We tell you what each one means, where it comes from, and why it belongs under your tiles. A beautiful pattern is decoration. A pattern you can explain is a story your table gets to keep.
The making
Printed for your table
Each mat is printed to order by our production partner on a dense polyester face with a non-slip rubber backing. Dye-sublimation sets the design into the fibre itself, so the print will not peel or crack.
Your mat ships folded in a drawstring carrying bag, with tracking. Plan for about 3 to 5 weeks after ordering; production, transit and customs can vary.
